IPOPI’s social media campaign aims to raise awareness about the critical role of neonatal screening in early diagnosis and treatment for babies born with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID). By showcasing a series of short videos, we will highlight the progress made in various parts of the world regarding SCID Newborn Screening (NBS).
Through these videos, we will shed light on the significance of timely detection and appropriate interventions for infants with SCID. Without early diagnosis and proper treatment, these vulnerable babies are at risk of severe and fatal infections. Our campaign strives to emphasize the life-saving potential of SCID NBS, which enables medical professionals to identify affected infants at birth and provide them with immediate care.
We will showcase regional progress and demonstrate the positive impact of SCID NBS in saving lives and improving outcomes for these infants. By leveraging the power of social media, we aim to reach a wide audience, educate the public, and mobilize support for expanded access to SCID NBS programs worldwide.
