This year, the neonatal heel prick screening program celebrates its 50th anniversary! Since 1974, this programme has been improving the health of babies in the Netherlands by detecting children with serious conditions in good time. We now screen for 27 serious but treatable conditions with the heel prick.
We are of course appropriately proud of this milestone and will pay attention to it at various times throughout the year, culminating in the event on October 17, 2024 We look forward to celebrating this together with our partners and relations!
